Introduction
JIIU’s Omar Homoeopathic Medical College & Research Centre, Ranjani celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation. The official theme for this year’s celebration was “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
The event aimed to promote awareness about the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being while encouraging participants to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Event Highlights
Around 190 participants gathered at 7:30 AM on the college ground to perform yoga under the guidance of a professional yoga instructor. The instructor demonstrated and explained various Yoga Asanas and Pranayama techniques, emphasizing their role in improving flexibility, strength, concentration, and overall health.

- Patients
Students from BHMS 1st and 3rd Year actively participated and contributed to making the event successful.
Inaugural Session
The celebration began with a brief inaugural session, where Principal Prof. Dr. Hasina Mhaishale addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of yoga in daily life. She encouraged everyone to practice yoga regularly for better health, stress management, and healthy ageing.

The 12th International Yoga Day Celebration was a successful and inspiring event that spread awareness about the benefits of yoga.
